Alea Razionale and financial contracts – Presentation of the book “Financial Market Contracts”

Events
29 October 2025

Financial contracts allow savers and businesses to transfer their resources and spending opportunities for consumption and investment into the future. But they entail risks.

The wave of litigation concerning a particular type of these contracts — the so-called derivative contracts — has led to the development of a doctrine requiring intermediaries to provide clients with transparent information on the probability and severity of potential losses, through the use of tools known as “probabilistic scenarios.”

This topic will be discussed during “Rational Risk and Financial Contracts”, the event to be held on 29 October 2025, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., on the occasion of the presentation of the book “I contratti del mercato finanziario”, edited by Professor Daniele Maffeis.

Our Alessandro Pomelli, together with other distinguished speakers, will take part in the discussion, offering a number of thought-provoking insights from the perspective of commercial law.
