On October 15, the Fondazione Forte Marghera in Venice will host the conference “Renewing the Cooperative Model to Make Room for New Cooperative Members,” organized by Legacoop Veneto.

The essence of the meeting is already clearly evident in the title: a business model often portrayed as a relic of the past, which today, however, demonstrates the ability to adapt to the times and reinvent itself—to the point of becoming a tool for organizing the activities of tomorrow, from energy to data to new forms of work.

The presentation by our own Pier Luigi Morara — “A Call for Ideas! Rethinking the Cooperative Model” — builds on the discussion initiated by Prof. Francesco Vella and engages with the analysis by Prof. Flavio Delbono (MUEC, University of Bologna) on cooperative demographics.

It is no coincidence that the event coincides with the 25th anniversary of MUEC: an anniversary that the initiative has chosen to mark not with a celebratory tone, but with a focus entirely on the future.
